Anyone want to go to this?  I think we're limited to just one or two
delegates, and I'd be interested in going but would be just as happy
if somebody else was up for it.

OPIRG-Carleton has a history with the CCC.  Back in 1999-2000 we were
a member group, so there's some history here.  I can give you more
details if you like.

This message is being sent on behalf of Brian Crane, Ontario's Chief
Negotiator on the Algonquin Land Claim:
It has been some time since the Coalition of Concerned Citizens has
met with members of the Ontario negotiating team on the Algonquin land
claim. In response to a recent request by Helen Forsey representing
Friends of the Algonquins, I would like to invite you to a meeting in
Ottawa on Wednesday, December 12.
Ms Forsey has requested this meeting to inform the negotiators of the
Coalition of Concerned Citizens members' views on the current
situation with regard to uranium exploration in North Frontenac and
the mediation process that is about to get underway. I have invited
the chief negotiators for Canada and the Algonquins, and hope they
will be able to attend this meeting.
I hope to also be able to provide the group with a brief update on the
land claim negotiations at this time.  For those of you who are new to
the file, please feel free to visit our website at

The meeting will take place at the offices of the law firm Gowlings at
Suite 2600,160 Elgin Street, Ottawa and will run from 2:30 to 4:30.
