[Indigsol] Petition, Screening, and Next Meeting

Hello everyone,

The minutes from the last meeting will be e-mailed around soon. In the
meantime, we have some ideas to float to all of you.

Anti-Uranium Mining Petition
Read, sign and circulate this petition*!
http://www.ecologyottawa.ca/take-action/sign-on/index.php Writing to your
city councillor will strengthen their initiative as well. This petition is
particular to Ottawa so that the group can target councillors directly. It
is a step towards a moratorium on uranium for the province (or maybe even
country?! sigh).

(For those who are interested: the next meeting of OCAMU (Ottawa Coalition
Against Mining Uranium) is Nov. 22 from 7:15-9:30pm at Rideau Park United
Church 2202 Alta Vista Drive. You could be involved with directing the group
and planning activities to stand in solidarity with the Ardoch and Shabot
Algonquin's opposition to uranium mining. If you would like to know more
about this group, reply to me directly or checkout the information at
ecologyottawa.)

*Film Screening*
Our film night is scheduled for January 17th. To pick a film, we're planning
a *pot luck film screening* on *Dec 11* for IPSMO members. We're looking for
something that would provoke discussion and/or relate to a current issue.
Long or short films are welcome. Matt K has offered his house, but it could
also be held at the university. If you have preference as to where this
should be held, or a suggestion for a film, please let me know.

Suggested times for the next meeting are: *Tuesday, Nov 20th at 11:30am or
Thursday, Nov 22nd at 12:00*. E-mail me your preferred time before Monday.
