At 6:00pm tonight (Wed, June 7, 2017) on CBC News Vancouver, there will be a
discussion about making transit free for youth 18 and under in the Greater
Vancouver area.

Translink has been less than receptive to the idea of Fare Free Transit despite
the economic advantages it offers and which have been proven around the world.
And since Climate Change is undeniable, that alone is reason enough. Please see
theTyee.ca series for more on that: https://thetyee.ca/Views/2007/07/05/NoFares1/

The inspiration for tonight's CBC News segment is the recent blog post by
Patrick Johnstone, a City Councillor for New Westminister. His post is here:
https://patrickjohnstone.ca/2017/06/free-rides.html

If you want Translink to consider this idea, tune in and then write to Translink
directly: board at translink.ca <mailto:board at translink.ca>

Translink's feedback page doesn't seem to work or be secure; they do have many
phone numbers to call as well:
