I was recently sent a link to this very informative website documenting the 
amount of C02 that is released by various civilized activities.

Building the common-place house in North America releases 68,000 kg of C02per

Not surprisingly, Cob is not on their list.  But like I've written in the past, 
it is very possible to build a ZERO emissions Cob house with Fast Cob!

My buildings have "emitted" the amount of carbon that it took a dump truck to 
move the sand/clay mixture up a short hill from the gravel pit to the side of 
the road above our building site. Everything else has been done by wheelbarrow, 
hand, or solar power.  In other words, a few kgs of C02or 0.004% of the 
common-place house.
