As parents, we know that meeting our children's needs is our primary mission.
But what about our needs?
Although it's easy enough to refer to the airline's guidelines (put your own air
mask on first), for day-to-day parenting, that doesn't really help much.
This Saturday night from 6pm to 8pm, Parenting with an Open Heart will focus on
how we can meet the needs of both parents and children. Let's call it "Healthy
Parents, Healthy Children" in honour of two of my most trusted resources
/Respectful Parents, Respectful Children/ and /Magical Parent, Magical Child/.
Please RSVP so I can prepare lots of healthy snacks: the seminar will be held at
2105 Parker Street, our very child friendly location, at the corner of Lakewood
Drive in East Vancouver Note that you enter through the gate off of Lakewood to
the basement suite.

Did you know that in Scandinavia...
--> there are laws protecting children from all forms of spanking and bullying,
even from parents
--> these laws do not imprison or punish parents but instead raise awareness
(http://www.empathicparenting.org)
--> the elderly are able to remain at home thanks to programs that provide free
meals, free transportation, and free care/
