[GSA Council] Clarification Regarding the 21-6-19 GSA Council Meeting

Dear Council members,

I would like to start by saying that it was great to see the call out for nominations. This is the outcome of our first two resolutions of the year. A great start to the year.

Please find attached a document from Arts and Science and Fine Arts Directors, which explains why a 50%+1 vote was sufficient for the motion about the chair's appointment. We send it just for

clarification purposes.

I am looking forward to our meeting next Friday when we will get to interview the candidates. Even if no new candidates have applied, it's a good thing we sent members a clear email about the

position because our prospective decision will be defended. I'm sure we will all come together and agree when we select a chair.
