Hello Jean-Simon, Nura and Harish,
We discussed it but the vice president internal also encouraged the Arts
and Science directors to fill the position. Everybody was talking and you
might not have heard what we discussed. As a result, I made an effort from
my side to reduce the burden of work from the executives' work. I also
believe it is shame for us not to be able to fill the vacant positions
during our mandate and I am very concerned about the reaction of the new
team when they notice that we just started taking an action after 8
months!!!
Second, I was surprised when I received this email exactly after adding my
point into the agenda two days ago!!!. Third, I'm a bit confused why Likith
was seeking our opinion when they had already made a decision (sending an
email by the president to the candidate 9 days ago!!!) ?!!!
Jean-Simon, regarding your point about the GA, I just invited the
executives' team to hear from us about our experience in organizing GA by
sending an email to everybody on February 3rd. Unfortunately, nobody,
including the directors, has gotten back to me about that this
initiative!!!
Some of the directors who joined us recently blamed me for criticizing the
executives' team. It was not the first time that I showed my goodwill by
offering some initiatives but most often I have been ignored by some of
you. However, I decided to put everybody in CC in my last email to keep you
informed about my conversations with the executives' team.
Moreover, what really makes me upset is that some directors believe nobody
has successful experiences since quorum hasn’t been met in years. Some of
them also frankly expressed it to justify the failure in getting a quorum
in GA during the last council meeting. I believe it is the duty of each of
us to start working hard without thinking about the result. It's better to
fail despite work hard rather not to do it.
Jean-Simon, regarding your point about focusing on the proper transition, I
have already brought them to your attention by mentioning a point on the
agenda when nobody has added a single point to the agenda.
Have a great day,
Masoumeh
