Dear Etta and all the Directors

Thanks for all your concern. I really appreciate your care about GSA and
are looking to resolve the issues. To your consideration, we have not
stopped our work and we are working for the election and you don't need to
be concern about the election and transition, as like always that we have
put our effort for GSA.

Being respected is the natural right of every human, it is what Nura wants,
and also executives and the directors who are all the victim of
disrespectful behaviour. Nura is not the only case, I have received several
complaints from the directors that they have been disrespected with some
other directors, and what I feel is that it not going to an end.

I have tried always to be nice and not take serious action for the sake of
the GSA (as we don't want to have bad stories for the coming year team) and
also considering the fact that we human can do mistakes. But this kind of
behaviour is getting dangerous and is harming the body of the GSA which
should serve student rather than making a problem within itself. We are
still receiving disrespectful emails which should be stopped at some point.

Being at GSA is the matter of responsibility, and mental pressure and we
are not here for money, I don't want to hear again that directors are
disrespecting me with their own mindset about money.

FYI I want to mention here some of the great achievement of the GSA in our
mandate which we accomplished so far:

1- It is the only year In GSA that no harassment, grievance and legal case
has happened in GSA and we have been appreciated by Terry Kyle, Manager of
Student Life at Dean of Student, times to times for keeping such a balance
among the staff members, executives and also directors.

2- It has been the only year, based on Brad Nelson (Associate Dean of
Graduate Studies), that they have such a great collaboration with GSA for
following up student issues with them

3- By the new negotiation with Union we came to an agreement that will save
$50,000 for GSA by reducing the working hours of the staff based on what is
seen was practical in GSA. This collective agreement was supposed to be
signed in 2016!

4- We resolved the grievance cases about sexual harassment from 2017 which
was costing $20,000 for GSA.

5- We resolved the grievance case for suspension of the staff member from
2016

6- We have had a close relationship with the main student association in
the university like JMGSA and we initiated a collaborative event to bring a
student from all the department together

7- We have a surplus of $200,000 in GSA account which is the result of our
detailed management of the GSA account which is unique in the history of
the GSA, while at the same time we have covered all the events GSA normally
has and initiated some new events for students

With our effort in this year, we have saved GSA which was declining all
through these years and we don't expect that much from the council, just
Respect.

Best regards,

Amir Molaei
President
