[GSA Council] Notice of resignation.

I apologize if you recieve this twice. I sent it to the wrong list apparantly. It is still very important. And so I am sending it again.



Hello my dear fellow councilors.

And especially the directors who are choosing to resign.

I agree with Azam (and now Krupa and Geoff too). We have gone though so much to quit just two months before the end. There are important matters I want to bring to council, but without council members, passing them will be impossible..

Each one of you represents almost 300 graduate students interests..

300 people who rely on you for a voice.

You all have a great responsibility.


Beyond that of the toxic environment that has been going on this year, you represent your peers as key figures in all decision making processes and in making change..

Each one of you, a Necessary voice in our council.

I don't understand what personal reasons could be overcoming all of you at once that have started this trend of abandonment.

I am sorry that it is weighing heavily on you, but each time one of you leaves the burden weighs heavier for those of us who remain.

I hope you will reconsider for these last two months. The finish line is in sight and too much effort has been made to do as much as possible this year for the students that will be snuffed out due to poor attendance at our final meetings.

Sherif and I have a Very Important Policy to pass for sustainability at our school. One we have worked tirelessly for with school organizations and committees. It will require you to fullfill your initial commitment to us- your fellow councellors.

Its Four more days.

Four final meetings.

That is all.

Please come to them.

Regarding past ongoing chaos of GSA , I can understand your situation. You have always been a team player for  GSA until now. It was really bit surprise for me to hear this news from a strong and positive person like you . As now GSA is in a position of "Sink or Swim" and if everybody will fall apart then definitely GSA will be a huge failure for this mandate . This is time where we need to stand and support as much as we can rather than to give up.
