Thank you for pointing out your doubts. As I am responsible for the financial report, I would like to clarify this. Please see below

2) The budget table (below this line: "The table below provides detail list of expenditure items and the amounts ") is unclear- at least to me.(This is a standard way of saying that the table below includes and provides information on expenditure items and corresponding dollar amount) If you are still unclear maybe at the GA I could be there and make it clear for the benefit of not just you but for all.

I do not think the last two columns are titled properly. I do not understand what the deference between "% budget spent" and "utilized portion". They both seem to mean the same thing to me. I think what is meant is "% spent", "% remaining". (I do not know if you had some formatting errors in the file you opened. The file I sent to the meeting facilitator clearly shows the headings as below i.e. % of budget spent and unutilized portion in %. E both are saying the same thing using different words and phrases, at least this is how it appears to me. 

Also winter orientation seems to have "0" budget but we still say we were on budget- makes me wonder if this was done properly in excel or proper software and that all other numbers are actually correct.(In the recently concluded budget committee meeting it was mentioned to me that for winter orientation we received $10,000 from the dean’s office and hence the budget committee decided that the budget for that would be 0 (zero). Although the expenditure has to be still shown.)

Hope this clarifies your doubts if not, I think the GA would be a good place to rest all doubts if and when I am asked to talk about it, which I am glad to do.

I hope Montreal is trating you all well! I look forward to seeing you all in the next council meeting in March.

A couple of issues I would like to point out in this GA package

1) bylaw changes point is very unfriendly. Because of the extent of the changes, this should be presented as new bylaws. So the ENTIRE new bylaws document should be provided. Preferably, two versions should be provided: the clean end result, and another document with the changes (the way it looks in track changes). Also, somebody is likely to point out that we should have public consultations before submitting this to a GA.

3) We are showcasing our sustainability policy and its newly established committee, which is supposed to meet monthly and report to council bimonthly. However, to my knowledge, the committee has never met and certainly never reported to council- which is very disappointing to me. But beyond my disappointment, this statement strikes me as misleading. 

Hopefully someone will address these points so that I can vote :)
