[GSA Council] Academic and Special Project Funding Applications Plus GSA Staff Annual Cost

Hello Everybody,

Please find attached the list of associations that applied for Academic and
Special project funding. They all meet the criteria for funding specified
in the funding policy. The budget for both academic projects is $5,000 and
that for special projects is $5,000.

Please also find attached the updated GSA staff cost which was from the MCC
presentation. The Advocacy center cost was removed from the GSA budget. The
analysis is to show that splitting the staff position does not cost GSA
more because of the summer-lay offs. The manager positions are all separate
positions in our by-laws.

We have an obligation to get the advocacy center running. Students pay a
special fee for the service and we are obliged to provide that service to
them. The service is very important for students with serious cases and is
GSA's core service.
