[GSA Council] Update and Doodle for May Council

Hello Councillors--
During the last meeting, Council asked to reschedule our next regular
meeting as many joined after the meeting was booked three months ago.

Note, at Council's request, we are booking a 4-hour meeting.
Three hours of this meeting will take-up where the special meeting
concerning the bylaws left off, section 4 going forward. The goal is to get
feedback from this year's council on the full draft, then revise over
summer to continue consultation in the Fall.
The first hour will be a regular council meeting (with new Councillors
invited to attend) and requires your arrival 30mins in advance (I will
invite new Councillors to show up 30mins in advance).
Last Council also discussed inviting the new Councillors to join this
meeting for a training. I can share the "Training Materials" Folder in the

Other suggestions are welcomed for facilitating training for incoming

I was asked by Council to send a list of items tabled to the May meeting:
1) Motion from Trevor's April report (pool of CRO, Chairs, Minute-takers
for depts & assoc)
2) Motion to rescind Motion CO-20150420-07 & Motion CO-20150420-08
3) Executive working hours
BIRT the working hours of the executives shall be recorded by keeping a new
log book in the GSA office and a monthly report shall be circulated by the
office manager to all the graduate students providing information about the
working hours.
4) Appreciation
BIRT the president will send a letter of appreciation to the CRO to thank
him for his work
5) Budget Committee appointments
6) The executives will prepare booklets outlining ongoing affairs, tasks
and responsibilities for the incoming executives, before the end of their
mandate and to May Council for approval.
