[GSA Council] 2015 election at risk: URGENT GSA COUNCIL BUSINESS!!!!

Hi everyone,

It has been pointed out that I can't serve as the Chief Returning Officer
(CRO) in this year's election unless *ALL COUNCILLORS* immediately express
their agreement with the following motion, moved by Mathilde and seconded
by Isabelle:

**Be It Resolved that Council ratifies the recommendation of the Hiring*



*Committee to contract Jonathan Summers as the CRO.**Be It Further Resolved
Council accepts Jon Summers' resignation fromCouncil.**

The election is in just *TWO WEEKS*, and I have already spent most of my
weekend starting the critical last-minute work of preparing for it. An
announcement, signed with my name, was sent to all GSA members Friday
evening. Yesterday and today, I postered all the major buildings downtown
and at Loyola, promoted the election on Facebook, developed a website, and
helped potential candidates to understand the Election Regulations.

However, I now have to stop *EVERYTHING* unless *ALL COUNCILLORS* express
their agreement to Gretchen.

This might seem like just a formality, but it's not. I believe we're in a
very dangerous situation, which threatens to ruin this year's election,
cast doubt on the legitimacy of next year's team, and further hurt the
association's reputation in the eyes of its members.
