[GSA Council] Arts and Science Grad Student Association Meeting

Hey David,

While it does make sense to discuss the creation of a student association
at the Congress, I'm bound by Council to uphold the following motion:

*Motion **CO-20141218-18*

*Be It Resolved That Council shall strike an exploratory committee for the
purpose of assessing the feasibility and interest in an Arts and Science
faculty association;*

*Be It Further Resolved That the VP Academic Advocacy shall oversee this
initiative;*

*Be It Further Resolved That said committee shall be composed of the VP
Academic Advocacy (as chair), Arts and Science Directors, the Departments
Manager, and members of Arts and Science departmental associations;*

*Be It Further Resolved That the GSA shall allocate funds for this
committee for mobilization and other requirements;*

*Be It Further Resolved That Be it further resolved that the results of the
committee shall be presented by the VP Academic Advocacy at the February
Council meeting;*

*Moved by: Isabelle*

*Seconded by: Shadi*

*Adopted Unanimously*

Seeing as what I'm starting is a committee to discuss a particular issue, I
can't elect to not hold a committee meeting unless the members of the
committee feel that this is a viable and better option. I do feel that we
could effectively kill two birds with one stone but I can't move forward
with that at my own discretion.

*Members of the Arts & Science committee (Roddy + Arts and Science
Directors), would you be willing to forgo holding our meeting and simply
join our discussion into the Arts & Science Congress? This is your decision
and unless members of Council express any issue with this, I would suggest
that we join on. Please respond no later than January 15, 2015! *
Best,
