[GSA Council] Arts and Science Grad Student Association Meeting

Hey Trevor,

In the agenda we want to propose for the Congress, the first Item is
Faculty organization to ask the departmental association if they want to
organize their faculty and how they want to do it (which include creating a
Faculty association). I do think this meeting is the best place to start
the discussion about creating a faculty association and the Council have
already mandated GSA to do it.

My fear is that if we have the two meeting one will kill the other, would
Department rep. come to two consecutive meeting held by GSA with very close
purpose? According to the motion Jon passed in council we have to have this
congress either within two weeks before the GA or within two weeks after
the GA. Also there is a Departmental and Faculty Association meeting
already planned for next week (Jan 22nd).

Here's my suggestion, Instead on working in our own and dividing our
ressources for something that close, let's work together. What about
starting with the congress whose first item is to discuss the creation of a
facutly association (discussion that you can lead) and then with the
support expressed there have a second meeting around February to make sure
we enact the decision.

What do you think?

David
