I'm ok with the idea. you have my vote(approval) to proceed with the Congress.

I don't know who is supposed to do that but maybe creating a poll could be more efficient than replying to this message.

After 3 failed General Assemblies, the Arts & Science Congress is a big opportunity for the GSA. We can create a new space and a new way to get students engaged in the organization. Please keep in mind that Arts & Science students do not currently have the benefit of their own faculty association.

Let's take advantage of this opportunity and commit the necessary resources to make our members feel welcome in the GSA!

Hi everyone,

Please respond as soon as you can so we can book the space or make other plans if necessary. We need council approval to move forward with the upcoming Congress.

Personally, I think this is a good use of our resources, as it will give Arts and Science members a chance to express what they want from their association, and encourage them to participate in the GSA.

Thanks!

Hi,

As decided by council, GSA will organize a congress for Arts & Science faculty.
So David, A & S councilors and I have discussed over the structure and mutually planned to do it in more productive way to pursue the participation of students from this faculty.

Congress is scheduled for 6th March and call out has been sent to the departments. I am writing this email to get your consent for the expenses required in order to make it happen. Secondly, I am not sure which part of the budget would cover it but as far as i believe the congress expense is not associated with the campaigning  budget. So i need your inputs and approval.

Following would be expense:

$50- for Chair$50 for Minute taker$100 for Drinks.
$150 for Food (after and during the congress)

Total : $ 350

Previously, the plan for food/drinks was cheaper but unfortunately, we couldn't make it possible due to some obvious reasons and now it cost us bit more and i think its a interesting approach to motivate them. Further, find the minutes of the meeting attached.

-Regards,
Danish Sheikh.
