Hello Houda,


I voted against this decrease and I understand the situation, but the thing is that when I voted on the motion, I knew that your April bursary will be $900.( We voted on the motion before your April /reports were approved, and the motion took effect immediately.)  Other councilors probably taught like me (I let them speak for themselves)

We will definitely clarify this, but it seemed pretty clear to me: any bursary approved after the motion passed will be $900.

Hello councilors ,


I want to clarify that we did not have the bursary for April , we received the March bursary after the March council meeting, we are paid after we work the month not before  ! and at that time the bursary was 1100 dollars , 

Now, for April council have decided to change it at the end of the month and they told us it is only applicable for work that will be done after the last council meeting which means for Mai bursary , 

Could you please clarify it during the next special meeting so Liz will issue the cheques for the month of April.

I am pasting below the motions approved at Council concerning the Executive bursaries.

There has been a request to clarify the resolutions. I would like to put this on the agenda for our regular meeting in May (the 26th).


Currently the Executives have already received their bursaries for their reports presented in April due to a check issuing error. Council will have to decide if it is their intention to ask the executive to pay back 200$ from the monthly bursary accidentally advanced in March.

BIRT the bursary provided to the executives of GSA shall be reduced from $1100 per month to $900 per month.

BIFRT this motion take effect immediately

BIFRT the saved $200 per executive shall be used for Graduate student's professional development across all faculties and accordingly adjusted in next year budget by the budget committee.
