[GSA Council] From Firas - Document for your consideration

Hi,

About Recording arguments, has I said in the first meeting and repeated
once or twice, if you want me to note down something important tell me at
the time it is happening. The most important thing in minutes are the
motions that are voted upon and it is already difficult to make sure they
are written down properly. We tried once last year to take all the comment
and it was a failure. Comments were summerized for the purpose of space and
note taking but resluted in misinterpretation or incompleteness. Sometime
argument were forgotten, etc.

True, university committee do record debate but in most case they have a
professional secretary to do that and those people are proficient with
stenography. We actually don't have this ressource except if you want to
create a new staff position.
