ELF CLAIMS RESPONSIBILITY FOR APRIL SUV ATTACKS IN SANTA CRUZ

The ELF Press Office has received the following communique claiming
responsibility for attacks on SUVs in Santa Cruz that took place April 15th.

The Earth Liberation Front Santa Cruz is claiming responsibilty for the 
early morning April 15th attack of an estimated 15 SUVs with bright orange
paint.  The bigger the SUV the harder it was attacked.  It seems the "local"
paper, the Santa Cruz Sentinel, which is owned by the same company as the Wall
Street Journal, decided that the attacks wern't serious enough to cover.  Well,
I can assure them that ELF SC is serious about it's dedication to 'covering'
these gas-hogs.  Perhaps the press is afraid that this eco-conscience attitude
will spread to others.  ELF SC hopes that is does. 

SUVs consume an extra million barrels of oil a day.  For this oil the US 
fights wars and seeks to destroy beautiful ancient treasures like the Alaska
Wild Life Refuge.  A large amount of the profits made from oil go to individual
Saudi's who give a percentage of their profit to terrorist groups like Al
Qaida. In addition, SUVs are destroying our air because they are aloud to spew
out 30 percent more carbon monoxide, hydro carbons, and 75 percent more
nitrogen oxides than passenger cars.  Federal law also allows SUVs to consume
33 percent more gasoline than passenger car.  It seems that our leaders don't
realize that oil is a limited supply.  There is a Bad Religion song that
states, "We can't do nothing and hope that someone else will make things
right," so get out there and attack some of these gas hogs. 

Wear a large all black sweat shirt with a baseball hat to help cover your face
from video cameras.  Also wear gloves and remember that Elfs are always aware
of their surroundings.  Let's SUV attacks a national phenomin and make people
think twice about buying these gas hogs.  Happy hunting!
