ALF Strikes Against Supreme Lobster in Chicago, IL

The North American Animal Liberation Press Office received
the following Communique anonymously and through encrypted email on Feb.
02, 2003. This action, claimed by the Groundhog Crew cell of the Animal
Liberation Front (named such because they struck on Groundhog Day), is
believed to be the first known action by the ALF in 2003.

Although the Communique state that 38 trucks were damaged
and had brake lines severed, media and industry reports claim that 48
trucks were hit.

ALF COMMUNIQUE

Groundhog's Day Surprise - February 2nd, 2003

38 trucks severely crippled at Supreme Lobster - Villa Park, IL

The Groundhog Crew struck in the early morning hours of
February 2nd at Supreme Lobster, 220 E. North Avenue in Villa Park, IL.

A whopping 38 trucks (all except two in the fleet) had *all 4* brake lines
cut and 20 had refrigeration systems damaged. "ALF - NO BRAKES" was
written in huge letters on their freezer building dock door.

Supreme Lobster does sales in excess of $75 million annually. They are
responsible for the deaths of more than one billion sea creatures over the
past 25 years. Their lives cannot be returned, but we will continue to
strike at them (Supreme Lobster) until future generations are truly free.

This was a huge hit and will impact far into Supreme Lobster's business.
The Groundhog Crew estimates physical damage at over $50,000, with the
real impact felt in the potential $2 million in lost sales (not including
future lost clients, possibly resulting in millions more).

The fleet (and their business) will undoubtedly be out of commission for
more than a week.

They were suppliers to over 5,000 Chicagoland restaurants, supermarkets, and
hospitality institutions.

Didn't know groundhogs were such fans of sea creatures, did you?
