Sure Ben is right. But I remember when I left Telus I made
a pretty good survey of the local ISPs and found that there
was quite a bit of variation among vendors. Three parameters
of interest to me were a static ip, the cost per extra gig
of traffic and the total monthly bandwidth. For example
while Uniserve charges 4 bucks a month extra for a static,
they give you 30 gig a month and charge $1 per gig extra.
Smarttnet give you a free static but only 6 gigs a month
and charge $20 per gig extra. So which one is better
depends on your situation. Shop carefully.
