Hi Free Geek Vancouver! I'm working at SFU on collecting hardware for
Free Geek. Our Public Interest Research Group, a rad, central place on
campus has agreed to accept donations for us and share information about
Free Geek with excited activists. I'm preparing a workshop for the PIRG
retreat next weekend on "Software and Activism", how free software is an
activist cause and how open source tools can facilitate activism.
Here's a rambling draft of what I know on the subject. I still got to
pear it down to some core ideas to present. Then I got to come up with
some interactive ways of presenting these abstract ideas, so I'm not
just preaching. Any teachers or PDP students on this list?

I'd love your feedback on these topics and would love pointers to other
material on these subjects. I hear David is presenting on free software
and recycling, which is awesome: Can you give me any help David?
Much thanks all! Jack
