Hello,

My name is Terry Lowe, and I have about 20 years experience with computers, 
and 10 or 12 years (I forget actually) with programming, currently with web 
scripting languages (PHP and a legacy ColdFusion project) and server-side 
databases (MySQL and SQL Server). If pressed, I usually describe myself as 
web server database programmer.

I'm also a member of the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition, and in my 
"spare" time I help out at Momentum magazine, which is where I first read 
about FreeGeek Portland.

I have zero experience with Linux and I am completely inept when it comes 
to computer networks.

Respectfully, I think the name "FreeGeek Vancity" should be changed to 
something else, because it will create confusion with VanCity (the bank), 
and VanCity (the bank) might very well be a source of startup capital. I 
suggest "FreeGeek Vancouver" instead.

There's lots of warehouse space available in the area between Broadway and 
2nd Ave, between Main and Cambie Streets. Some of it has been vacant for years.

And I can probably give a day a week, too. We'll have to work out which day 
that might be.
