Hi folks,

This is coming up in February and might be a good opportunity for FreeGeek to
do some schmoozing for funding. I attended one a couple of years ago (that's
where I first met up with BC Wireless) and I remember there being lots of
Government-funding-types wandering around. When I was there Microsoft gave
the keynote dinner presentation while all of us "penguins" heckled them from
a large table in the back. ;-)

thoughts?

Scott

Subject: [VCNboard-list] 2007 Summit on IT - Vancouver, Feb. 23 (22) - 25,
2007

I sent something around a month or so ago about the annual IT Summit,
which we as Board members could attend in past years at member's rates -
$25 each - which was covered by VCN. The structure seems different this
year - government registrations cost a bundle, and all others are $75
before Jan. 15th. Considering that it's a 3-4 day conference at a hotel,
and even includes some meals, it's still an incredible deal for those
who can take the time.

Check out http://www.2007summit.ca for more details.
