are any of you able to go support? i might be able to depending on work
time and could take 3 people with me

  Christine Jack, St'at'imc caretaker at Ulluisc (A Voice for the Voiceless
Camp) and two-spirit spiritual leader is hosting a Women's Gathering from
June 19th to June 23rd.

The ask is for the support of volunteer cooks for the duration of the event
so that the Women can focus on their healing work and not be required to
provide the care work of cooking and child minding.  She also needs
donations of food for the event.

While the gathering itself is for Women Identified participants people of
any gender can be present to provide support.

So some specifics that I can think of:


   - The need is for a few volunteer cooks to cook lunch and dinner on the
   19th, breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner on the 20th, 21st, 22nd, then
   breakfast and lunch on the 23rd.



   - Christine has the equipment for a basic outdoor kitchen.



   - She does not know what the numbers are going to be like (yikes I know
   that is a tough one for cooks!).  Food would be for the women, any children
   present and of course for the cooks and child minders.



   - Christine will provide deer meat.  She is hoping for donations of
   other ingredients (there are foods out there, but more will be needed).



   - Anyone who came out and volunteered would need camping gear if they
   wished to stay out on the land, I imagine another possibility would be to
   commute from the Square House, which is just outside Lillooet at the Bridge
   River Reserve.


If there are cooks available who want to come out and volunteer I could
help connect people with Christine or whoever is interested could just call
the Elders to get connected with Christine (there number is in the video I
have posted below).
