[SMRT.risingtide] Minutes! Next meeting Feb 24th!

Hey everyone!
I heard from Michael: he's happy to have us back, and the date that works best for him is March 17th, 12:30-2:20.  Could we decide to do this over the e-mail, so we can let him know ASAP?
I hope we can make it...I would be happy to be one of the people going.

Thanks Kaleb! And ya, if folks could try to be there on Monday that would be AWESOME. I think this April training weekend is going to be really great! And since it's coming up super fast it would be great to get started on Organizing workshops and panels ASAP (especially if we're doing one before in Victoria!). 
 There is talk of some folks from strategy/research coming to our meeting on Monday, so please let me know if you'll be there or not so I can get a sense of whether it makes sense for them to do that. (If we aren't many it may make more sense just to go to their meeting)

Quick report back from kaleb's panel "speech" at streams of justice event...brought different perspective to event..kaleb learned a lot about presenting..felt ok..next one will be better! Ran over time..


Mostly talked about workshops/panels for upcoming training weekend in April and the request for a workshop from us for the victoria training at end of March.
Waiting to hear back from zoe (who is organizing vic training) about what kind of workshop she wants.


Our workshop proposals for vic training (and possibly van training too) are: grassroots/community organizing and/or one on interconnected struggles and climate justice..also thoughts of doing a solidarity workshop.. 



Thoughts for SMRT's involvement in april training here include organizing a panel on various things and having peeps from local collectives speak. NOII..DTES groups..etc. Ananda or someone on "false solutions" Jac is on this?


Next meeting next week Feb 24th so we can started on workshop!

Send agenda items..to..me for now? Someone to facilitate?
