In San Diego, the April 10 Worldwide Day of Solidarity for the J20 Defendants will be observed with peaceful picketing and signs at the Federal Building, between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. For more information contact Monty Kroopkin at 858-373-7018.

 Dear Friends,Tomorrow, April 10, we are joining a Day of Solidarity with the 59 #J20 defendants facing 61 years in prison. This case has the potential to establish a legal precedent for charging hundreds of protesters with felonies, including labor activists and BLM activists. We must keep up the pressure and send a message of love and solidarity to defendants before their trials.Here are a few things you can do to support J20 defendants on April 10:Join the J20 solidarity thunderclap. Ask your friends and organizations to participate too! Signing up will post a one-time message to your Facebook and/or Twitter account on April 10 at 12 PM EST, boosting our call for solidarity.

The next trial begins on April 17, and another group of defendants are scheduled to follow them on April 23. Defendants in the April 17 group in particular are accused of conspiracy for organizing the protest on January 20, 2017. They are being targeted simply for discussing protest tactics at public meetings, distributing flyers, or appearing on podcasts. This group also includes a defendant who was subjected to a house raid, which led to charges against three individuals who did not even attend the protest itself. Furthermore, these defendants are members of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), a radical labor union, more evidence of the state’s targeting of political movements in this case.Please do what you can to raise awareness before the next trial group.
