Hello again,

I am supposed to write a one-page grant request to Price Charities for $ to get the event rolling and was hoping someone can help me as I am not the strongest writer. I attached the word document and also copy/pasted the text below in case it doesn't open. If I don't hear back from anyone I will try my best to edit and turn it in by Monday!

Thanks,

Lina

To Whom It May Concern:
IRC San Diego and ___ Coalition has teamed up with the San Diego Repertory Theatre to try and grant 100 high school and college students the opportunity to attend Culture Clash's Cuture Clash in AmeriCCa. Culture Clash is a theatre troupe made up of Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza - the group has been around for 25 years and in their own words performs "community-based plays that use raucous comedy and a gimlet eye to address pressing political and social issues". The play portrays characters that "are adapted from real interviews with people from across the U.S. who live radically diverse live... to bring a voice to the socially invisible and the New Americans". The characters are drawn from Cuban exiles, Haitian immigrants, Ugandan refugees and many more.
San Diego Repertory Theatre's Project Discovery Program gives students the opportunity to attend a full program at reduced rates ($8/student) and also get behind-the-scenes theatre tours and discussions with the actors and directors. IRC and the ___ Coaliton is working with the Repertory Theatre and local art teachers to identify students that would be interested in participating in such an event. Culture Clash's approach to examining America and current events through a Chicano world-view will resonate with the diverse student body from City Heights. $1,000 would allow us to grant 100 students the opportunity to attend the play and also help pay for the transportation to and from the theatre. It will also allow the student s to speak to veteran actors who the students can socially relate to __________
