Hey all!

First off: I created a doodle for a potential first meeting time for people
who are interested in talking about a care collective/want to have an
informal discussion about what that looks like, whatever. Here's the link:

Please check it out when you get a chance. It's super easy, you don't need
an account, just click on times you think you'll be available and that's
it. If this doesn't work for people or nobody responds, we can try to
figure something else out, but hopefully it does.

Avery (my partner) and I were there yesterday and things are looking good
in the new room! Awesome work on the painting and moving, everyone! The
room looks a million times brighter and awesome. Yesterday we did some
tidying/organizing, moved the desk, cleaned out the desk drawers, moved the
set of drawers Sailor can't use out of the room as well as some empty
suitcases to try to keep "stuff" at a minimum and leave lots of stretching
room. We started installing the lever door knob, which is in the door, but
we're going to come back with a better saw and some other stuff and work on
replacing the inner part of the door frame that's broken so the latch
actually has something to catch on. We also tried to assemble the bookshelf
Sailor's dad brought over, but it's missing some hardware.

So yeah. I'm going to get on the whole ikea missing hardware thing (any
tips?) and getting the door latch functional, but any suggestions/tips/help
are welcome. We also brought over a couple of shelves and brackets that
could be put up whenever/wherever as soon as furniture placement is all
sorted and Sailor can get a better idea of where they want them. I left my
drill, a screwdriver bit, and a small drill bit, and Sailor has more
screwdriver bits, so feel free to use those as needed. We're thinking they
won't need anchors as long as nothing super, duper heavy goes on them.
Getting one or both of the brackets on a stud wouldn't be the worst,
though.

Hope everyone's having an awesome end of summer! Hurrah!
