[Careforsailor] Help still needed this weekend for moving and painting room!

Hey all!

I was at Sailor's for a few hours today. The walls/window sill/baseboards,
etc. are all washed and ready for painting! Rollers/paint dishes/brushes
are all there, as well as a roll of masking tape (maybe bring a little more
if you have some lying around?). I forgot to check for a flat head
screwdriver to open paint cans while I was there, but they probably have
one. May not be a bad idea for someone to bring one from home just in case.
I didn't see any drop sheets and also forgot to ask about that, but maybe
they're just hiding?

I'll be back there Monday at 4pm-ish to do cleaning in new and/or old room
and move some stuff over. Fingers crossed that all the painting gets done
tomorrow so we can focus on that.

Other projects for the near future:
-One little thing is that I think it'd be good to compile a list of
Sailor-friendly foods to put out on the listserv. I, for one, would like to
have the option of maybe bringing food around sometimes, since I like
cooking for people, and it'd also probably help out with grocery shopping
assistance and helping Sailor come up with neat meal ideas, since that's
always tricky, especially with limited diets. There's a list on the fridge
(it's a bit messy-stuff crossed out and all that). Maybe one day soon
someone could type it up and send it out when they're there? Maybe even me.
We'll see how things go on Monday/what priorities are and when.
-Phone tree? It'd be cool to find out who signed up for the listserv and
maybe make some calls to try and figure out how to make more support folks
happen. Maybe we could get some able-bodied people to start responding?
While I think it's great for folks with disabilities to mix and match
capacities and care for one another, and I'm stoked to be a part of that,
it would be cool if some non-disabled folks could also step up. Oh, and
maybe just exchanging phone numbers for time-sensitive stuff, since it
seems like computing can be a bit hit or miss for a lot of folks. I'll
start with my number: 604.812.1304 (calling and texting are both fine).

Good luck with all the painting tomorrow!

-Sydney
