TransLink and the Provincial Government are privatizing our public transit
system to the detriment of social and economic justice, public health and
the environment.



For transit-dependent bus riders, mostly women and disproportionately people
of colour and Aboriginal people, the everyday experiences of high fares,
pass-ups, overcrowding and inaccessibility and other assaults on our dignity
is the outcome of this process of privatization.  We are losing our basic
right to public transit, an economic human right which is fundamental for
low-income people trying to negotiate increasingly difficult lives in this
region.



Only a united and militant organization of bus riders, poor people, trade
unionists, environmentalists and other progressive people can turn the tide
of privatization of transit and win the affordable, reliable, clean air, and
fully public transit system we need.



Join us on September 22nd for this historic march against the fare increase
and for transit for all!
