More Buses! Lower Fares!
Night Owl Buses, End the Curfew Now!
Defend and Expand Public Services!

Final Push for the Night Owl Buses!
Call for Support:

After more than a year of working to get the Night Owl Bus service back,
talking to late night workers who have lost jobs and housing, women and
GLBT folks walking home in fear and being assaulted, and much more,
including a 70-page report, we have forced TransLink to vote on a motion
to restore this vital public service.

On Tuesday, March 23rd, 9am, at Burnaby City Hall, Bus Riders Union
organizers, members, and supporters will gather to make sure TransLink
serves the needs of transit-dependent people instead of their usual
corporate buddies.

How you can be a part of this:

We are helping people to sign up to speak at this meeting, organizations
or those who have been directed affected. Please contact us if you would
like to speak at this meeting. Requests to TL need to be made by this
Thursday, March, 18th. Our contact info is at the bottom of this message.

We are also asking all allies to come out and make our presence felt and
heard at this board meeting! You can meet us on Tuesday, March 23rd, at
7:45am (SHARP!) at Broadway Skytrain station on the Expo Line platform
to go as a group, or find your own way to Burnaby City Hall, 4949 Canada
Way.

It will either be the first step towards a public transit system that
serves the needs of transit-dependent people, or we will let them know
very clearly that it will not be "business as usual" for them to
continue to bankrupt public transit and privatize the system.

You can find the Night Owl Report as well as many other things on our
website.
