Re-inventing a left practice in the age of imperialist globalization 
starts on the ground: in neighborhoods, welfare lines, daycare centres, 
schools, lunchrooms and on the buses.

The Bus Riders Union is an experiment in building a multi-racial, gender 
balanced, mass movement based on the transportation needs of  working 
class people.  Our strategy includes:

    ·    working at the grassroots organizing the unorganized 
    ·    bridging the gap between workplace and community struggles
    ·    direct contact with working class and marginalized people on
    the bus      and in the community
    ·    building unity on the left
    ·    meaningful solidarity with Third World movements
