Bus Riders Union members,

The Bus Riders Union has an exciting summer of resistance and grassroots
education planned. Our dedicated crew of On the Bus Organizers is getting
on the bus twice a week to talk to other bus riders, and encourage them to
participate in the only organization that is fighting for our rights: The
Bus Riders Union!

We are one week away from launching the newest phase of our More Buses,
Lower Fares Campaign: the  “Justice Journal: Exposing Racism and Class
Struggle in the Transit System”.  This is a interactive booklet that bus
riders can fill to report how riding the bus affects their lives.

We will be at Joyce Skytrain station on July 26, from 2 –6 p.m. and July
30th    from 4 –8 p.m,  to kick off our Justice Journal.  Please feel free
to come and visit us, see our organizers in action, and fill out your own
justice journal.

On August 1st, we will be hosting a community meeting from 6:30 – 8:30
p.m., at Collingwood Neighbourhood House, 5288 Joyce Street.  There will
be a slide show on the Vancouver Bus Riders Union, a skit from our on the
bus organizing crew, and food will be served.  Childcare is provided, and
this is a free event.
