Hi folks,

You are invited to sign up for Season 5 of Bread Uprising Bakery!

Here’s how it works (this information can also be found in the link above):
For us, this bakery is part of longer-term work towards food systems based
on solidarity, not capital. We chose a Community-Supporter Bakery (CSB) or
sustainer model in order to build relationships that are about
collectively meeting each other’s needs, rather than exchanging goods for
money.
	• This season will run for from February 28th through May 16th, 2011 (12
weeks)
	• You fill out the sign-up form by February 23rd to tell us which breads
you want, and how often.
	• You commit to contributing whatever you can in order to make the bakery
sustainable. We welcome you to give whatever you have an abundance of.
	• Each week (or two weeks, or month) you'll come to the bakery on your
pick-up day to receive yummy baked goods to match your needs and desires!
If you cannot make the pick-ups, another bakery member will deliver your
bread to you.
	• As a subscriber/member, you can participate in visioning and making
decisions about what happens in the bakery

We would love nothing more than to be able to bake for everyone in the
City of Durham (and move into a new world of community love and abundance
together). However, there are only so many hours in a bake day, and only
so many loaves of bread that can fit in our oven. This season, the members
of Bread Uprising have decided to prioritize access for households that
are experiencing food insecurity, people of color, queer folk, working
class and poor people, and people with kids. We're also committed to the
bakery being a multi-racial space, which (in a city that is less than 40%
white) means that the bakery membership should also have a radical
majority (i.e. not just 51%) of people of color.  In order to honor these
intentions and priorities, it might not be possible for everyone who signs
up to become a subscriber immediately.

Please fill out our online sign-up form by Wednesday, February 23rd.  You
will hear back from us by Saturday, February 26th, whether we will begin
baking for you immediately or whether you are on the waitlist.  The online
