Dear friends, colleagues, past and present classmates,

You may have heard that an international convergence has been called for 
August 13-17 in Montreal to oppose the forced return to classes in 
striking CÉGEPs. Now, as the full force of Law 12 (a.k.a Bill 78) is put 
into effect, this is the time to prove this is not just a student 
movement but a popular uprising.

There is much work to be done: not only will there surely be direct 
actions, marches, and support casseroles throughout the week, there are 
also infolines to staff, out of town visitors to host, food to cook and 
serve. Whatever you are willing or able to do, if you are in Montreal, 
your help is desperately needed!!

This is a call for everyone who supports the student movement to come 
together to brainstorm, share information, reunite, build affinity 
groups, and plan for what needs to be done in preparation for the 
convergence in mid-August.

We'll be meeting at QPIRG Concordia on Tuesday, August 7, at 5:30 pm. If 
you can't make it, please send your friends!

     2) Reaching out to your out-of-town networks to convince to come
