Le 15 mars prochain, il y aura comme à chaque année une manifestation
contre l'occupation de l'Irak. Cette année, la manifestation contre la
guerre précède également la manifestation à l'occasion de la Journée
internationale contre la brutalité policière, organisée par le Collectif
opposé à la brutalité policière (COBP).

Cette année, à la lumière de la situation à Gaza, plusieurs groupes
mobilisent en vue d'un regroupement de solidarité avec la Palestine dans
la manifestation anti-guerre du 15 mars.

L'appel ce trouve ci-dessous; nous vous invitons à y participer en grand
nombre, pour dénoncer l'Apartheid israélien et la complicité du
gouvernement canadien.

Cette année, Bloquez l'empire n'organisera pas de contingent
anti-impérialiste, mais nous vous invitons tout de même à vous joindre à
nous. Nous marcherons derrière la bannière "Ils occupent... Nous
résistons". Nous vous invitons à amener vos bannières, banderoles,
pancartes, etc.

Suite à la manifestation contre l'occupation de l'Irak,
nous irons rejoindre la manifestation contre la brutalité policière, qui
débute à 15 heures au Carré Berri, métro Berri-UQÀM (sortie Ste-Catherine).

Gaza est assiégée. Israël continue d'imposer une punition collective au
1,5 million de Palestiniens de Gaza, qui continuent de subir de façon
chronique des pénuries d'électricité, de combustibles, de nourriture et
autres biens de première nécessité, en raison d'une campagne de violence
militaire menée par le régime d'apartheid d'Israël. Durant les dernières
semaines, les attaques d'Israël contre Gaza ont causé 120 morts et plus
de 300 blessés chez les Palestiniens; parmi les morts, au moins 95
étaient des civils.

DEMONSTRATION AGAINST THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN

This March 15, like every year, there will be a demonstration against the
occupation of Iraq. This year, the demo against the war takes place right
before the demo for the International Day against Police Brutality,
organized by the Collective Opposed to Police Brutality (COBP).

This year, in light of the siege on Gaza, several Montreal groups are also
organizing a Palestine solidarity contingent within the March 15th demo.
The callout for the contingent is below.

Block the Empire isn't organizing an anti-imperialist contingent this
year, but we will be at the demo and invite you to join us as we march
under the "Resistance anywhere... Occupation Everywhere" banner. Please
bring your banners, flags, placards, etc.

Immediately after the demo against the Occupation of Iraq,
we will be joining up with the demonstration Against Police Brutality,
starting at 3 PM at Carré Berri (metro Berri-UQAM).

Gaza is under siege. Israel is imposing collective punishment on the 1.5
million Palestinians of Gaza, who continue to face chronic shortages of
electricity, fuel, food and basic necessities in the context of an
ongoing campaign of military violence executed by the apartheid state of
Israel. In the past weeks Israeli attacks on Gaza have left 120
Palestinians dead and over 300 injured; of those killed during the past
week at least 95 have been civilians.
