*On January 31, 2008, two native youth warriors from occupied "British
Columbia" visited Montreal as part of an awareness-raising tour about
anti-colonial/anti-capitalist resistance to the planned 2010 Winter Olympics
in Vancouver/Whistler.

Kanahus Pellkey -- Secwepemc and Ktnuxa Warrior, and member of the Native
Youth Movement -- and Dustin Johnson -- member of the Ts'mksiyen nation --
began their day with a morning press conference at Montreal's Olympic
Stadium, main site of the 1976 Summer Olympics. Kanahus' father, Arthur
Manuel, had himself protested for indigenous sovereignty in 1976 at the
Montreal games.

Later in the evening, Kanahus and Dustin spoke to a packed audience at a
public event at the Native Friendship Center in downtown Montreal.*
