Semaine d'actions contre l'apartheid et l'occupation israéliens

Dans le cadre de la campagne croissante de Boycott, de Désinvestissements et
de Sanctions (BDS) contre l'apartheid israélien, trois événements auront
lieu lors d'une semaine d'actions qui se terminera par la journée
internationale du samedi 9 juin.

Le 9 juin marque le 40ème anniversaire de l'occupation israélienne de la
Cisjordanie, de Gaza et du Golan syrien. Il arrive juste après
l'anniversaire des 59 ans de la création de l'État d'Israël par le
déplacement de plus de 750 000 Palestiniens autochtones et la mise en place
d'un État colonial exclusif dans la Palestine historique.

Week of Action Against Israeli Occupation and Apartheid

Three actions, part of a rising global campaign of boycott, divestment and
sanctions (BDS) against Israeli apartheid, are taking place in a week of
action building up to an international day of action on Saturday, June 9th.

June 9th marks the 40th anniversary of Israel's occupation of the West Bank,
Gaza Strip and the Golan heights. This anniversary takes place just after
the 59th anniversary of the creation of the state of Israel through the
expulsion of over 750 000 indigenous Palestinians from their homeland and
the establishment of an exclusive, colonial state.

Manifestation contre le gouvernement Charest: La cour libère 193
manifestants et blâme la police

Après plus de 2 ans et demi de procédures judiciaires diverses, un juge de
la Cour municipale de Montréal a finalement déclaré l'arrêt des procédures
contre les plus de 190 personnes qui ont reçu un ticket lors de la
manifestation contre le Congrès du Parti libéral du Québec en novembre 2004.
Ci-dessous, deux articles tirés des médias de masse au sujet de ce jugement.

Il reste encore quelques procédures par rapport aux requêtes visant à faire
invalider le règlement municipal qui permet de telles arrestations.

Police partout, justice nulle part!

El Salon Police Riot: A call for your support (and funds)

Three individuals still face criminal charges related to the "El Salon
Police Riot" of April 2006. Please support their legal defense by
considering a contribution to their legal fund, and by attending upcoming
court dates.

Last April 19, 2006, at least 50 Montreal police officers intervened to end
a Palestinian political prisoner event at El Salon on St-Laurent Boulevard.
The event, called "Break the Chains," included poetry, films, speeches, as
well as several music acts, and was part of a national tour raising
awareness about Palestinian political prisoners by the Sumoud group in
Toronto.

The Montreal event was organized and supported by Books to
Prisoners-Montreal, the Coalition Against the Deportation of Palestinian
Refugees, Indigenous Peoples Solidarity Movement, International Solidarity
Movement (ISM), Montreal Anarchist Black Cross, No One Is Illegal-Montreal,
Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights (SPHR) at McGill and Concordia and
the Twelve Months PP/POW Calendar Project.

ACCtion AGAINST ATLANTICA is an anti-capitalist coalition of community
groups and concerned citizens who oppose the future mapped out for our
region by the proponents of Altantica.

ATLANTICA is a proposed free trade zone that would include the Atlantic
Canadian Provinces and the northern New England states. The proponents of
Atlantica are meeting in Halifax June 14-16. ACCtion is organizing to
confront Atlantica and send the message that the people and resources of the
proposed Atlantica region are NOT for sale to the lowest bidder!

Appuyez notre projet: Jardins de la Résistance

Les Jardins de la Résistance est un projet collectif situé sur une ferme
près de Huntingdon (Qc) à environ une (1) heur de Montréal. Comme collectif,
nous nous sommes engagéEs à travailler solidairement, de manière autonome et
non-hiérarchique afin de résister au système capitaliste et à
l'impérialisme.

Notre projet à pour but de soutenir les communautés qui luttent pour la
dignité et l'auto-détermination : les personnes autochtones, les personnes
et familles immigrantes, avec ou sans-statut, ainsi que les membres des
communauté rurale qui sont forcés, par un système économique qui favorise le
développement agroalimentaire basé sur l'exploitation d'immenses surfaces,
de quitter leurs terres.

Support Our Project: Jardins de la Résistance

Les Jardins de la Résistance is a collective farming project located near
Huntingdon (Qc), a one (1) hour drive from Montréal. As a collective, we are
committed to working autonomously, non-hierarchically and in solidarity with
each other to resist capitalism and imperialism. Our project aims to support
communities in struggle for dignity and self-determination: including
indigenous peoples, immigrant and non-status individuals and families, as
well as members of rural communities who are being forced off the land by an
economic system which favours large-scale agribusiness. Of particular
importance to us is the recognition of the violence and racism that was and
continues to be employed to steal land from indigenous people all over the
world, including the land we are farming.

In practice, this project aims to foster a space in which to develop
creativity, skills, knowledge and techniques towards an agriculture which is
respectful of the earth. As well, it aims to build a new source of food for
our communities.

June 5: Snap! Moving to Our Own Beats is looking for Collective Members!

Come to an info session -- (childcare available with 24 hours notice)

Snap! is an anti-racism program that combines anti-oppression and skills
training in order to support and encourage our own generation of anti-racist
youth of colour and Indigenous youth activists. The program is open to
people of all levels of experience, from people who want to get involved but
don't know where to start, to seasoned activists who are interested in
strengthening the movement.

Le Réseau de Solidarité des Travailleurs- Travailleuses (RSTT) appelle à une
seconde action de solidarité avec les travailleur-se-s chez Bell pour une
ligne de piquetage effective et perturbatrice lors de l'assemblée annuelle
des actionnaires de Bell. Soyons ponctuel-le- s puisque l'assemblée débute à
9h30, et soyons y en grand nombre afin d'assurer la réussite de l'action.

The Workers' Solidarity Network (WSN) is calling for a second solidarity
action with Bell workers for an effective and disruptive picket line during
the annual meeting of Bell shareholders. Because the meeting begins at 9h30,
let's be punctual and let us be numerous enough to ensure the success of our
picket line. Let Bell's bosses know that their workers have had enough of
their cuts!
