Subject: [haitian_solidarity] FRIDAY: Trial Support Requested

Hi folks,

As some of you know, Pierre Pettigrew's operatives are pressing charges against 
Yves and I for allegedly damaging Liberal Party property during the January 
2006 election campaign.

For those not familiar, HAM and our allies put up a *lot* of posters of 
Pettigrew's face, with the words "wanted for crimes against humanity in Haiti" 
all around Pettigrew's riding. He lost by 1,000 votes to Vivian Barbot, a 
Haitian-born candidate running for the Bloc Quebecois.

Our trials, however, are happening separately--I'm guessing they wanted to 
maximize the inconvenience for us, as this happened at the last minute.

Mine is this FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2.

I have a possibility of coming out of this with a criminal record, so I would 
appreciate any courtroom support, even if it's for an hour.

The trial begins at 9AM, and likely won't go past 12, so the most important 
time to be there is at 9am.
