LA RAGE DU PEUPLE -- a look back at the resistance of local and global
social justice movements in 2006, and a look ahead to the struggles to come
in 2007 -- was a special 12-hour New Year's Day broadcast on CKUT 90.3FM in
Montreal.
Below, you will find links to the uploaded interviews, discussions and
music, in English and French, from LA RAGE DU PEUPLE. The links are also

The LA RAGE DU PEUPLE New Year's Day Special included interviews, reports
and reflections from organizers involved in social justice struggles in
Montreal and around the world: Kahnawake, Six Nations, Lebanon, Palestine,
Afghanistan, West Bengal, the Philippines, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Haiti,
Oaxaca, Chiapas, New York City, California and beyond.
We hear voices from the frontlines and reflect on current movements against
war and for migrant justice, as well as ongoing popular rebellions and
grassroots resistance movements.
LA RAGE DU PEUPLE included a special live in-studio performance by Iqi Balam
of La Banda de Gaza, and Radio Sanctuary with Kader Belaouni from the
St-Gabriel's Church in Point St-Charles (where Kader has defied a
deportation order and remained in sanctuary for more than one year).
The upload of LA RAGE DU PEUPLE includes several bonus audio excerpts that
did not run on-air on January 1, 2007.
Re-broadcasts of LA RAGE DU PEUPLE segments are welcomed and encouraged;
just let us know by e-mail.
Happy New Year!
In solidarity and struggle,
