ANNIVERSAIRE DE LA CAMPAGNE DE BOYCOTT DE CHAPTERS/INDIGO

Depuis les premiers piquetages à Toronto et à Montréal en Décembre 2006, la
campagne de boycott contre Chapters/Indigo n'a cessé de grandir. Des
magasins ont été ciblés dans 13 villes canadiennes, et des piquetages ont
lieu régulièrement dans 5 villes. Pourquoi ces piquetages? Pour promouvoir
la campagne de boycott des librairies Chapters et Indigo, mais aussi pour
éduquer le public sur l'apartheid israélien. Seulement à Toronto, plus de 40
000 tracts d'information ont été distribués en 2007.

Lors de lancements de livres et à la rencontre annuelle des actionnaires
d'Indigo, à Toronto, Heather Reisman a été interrogée publiquement sur la
fondation HESEG. Un vidéo diffusé sur You Tube, où on peut la voir refuser
de répondre aux questions sur ce sujet lors du lancement du livre de Ralph
Nader, a été visionné 13,677 fois (comparativement au vidéo officiel de
l'évènement par Chapters Indigo, qui n'a été vu que 290 fois). Cela démontre
une fois de plus l'efficacité de la campagne pour ce qui est de
conscientiser et mobiliser le public au sujet de l'implication canadienne

Pour célébrer le premier anniversaire de la campagne de boycott il y aura
des piquetages de magasins Chapters Indigo dans tout le Canada, ce samedi :
à Toronto, Vancouver, Montréal, Ottawa, Winnipeg et Victoria. C'est un bon
moyen de s'impliquer directement dans le mouvement national et international
d'opposition à l'apartheid israélien. La Coalition Contre l'apartheid
Israélien (CAIA) vous invite à soutenir le piquetage de Chapters Indigo, à
éduquer le public sur la fondation HESEG "pour les soldats solitaires" et le
rôle des propriétaires d'Indigo Livres et Musique dans cette fondation.

*** (HESEG Foundation for Lone Soldiers) est un programme d'appui financier
aux "soldats solitaires" qui n'ont pas de liens familiaux en Israël, mais
qui souhaitent se battre dans l'armée israélienne, participant ainsi à
l'apartheid et l'occupation. Certains de ces soldats ont participé à
l'attaque contre le Liban l'été dernier par exemple. HESEG peut donner
jusqu'à 3 millions de dollars par an sous forme de bourses scolaires et
autres aides à d'anciens "soldats solitaires" qui restent en Israël) ***

BE PART OF THE NATIONAL DAY OF ACTION ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE
CHAPTERS/INDIGO BOYCOTT CAMPAIGN

Since the first pickets in Toronto and Montreal on December 2006, the
boycott campaign against Chapters/Indigo has continued to grow. Stores have
been targeted in 13 cities across Canada and regular pickets are held in
five cities on an ongoing basis. In addition to promoting the boycott of
Chapters/Indigo these  tickets provide grassroots education on Israeli
Apartheid. In Toronto alone there have been over 40,000 information flyers
distributed in the past year.

Heather Reisman has been publicly questioned on the HESEG Foundation in book
launches in Toronto and Montreal and in the Indigo Annual Shareholders
Meeting in Toronto. The You Tube video of her (not) responding to questions
at the Ralph Nader book launch has been viewed 13,677 times compared to the
290 views for the official Chapters Indigo video of the event - further
demonstrating the effectiveness of the campaign in raising awareness of
Canadian support for Israeli apartheid.

To coincide with the first anniversary of the start of the Boycott Campaign
there will be pickets of Chapters Indigo stores across Canada this
Saturday - pickets will be happening in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal,
Ottawa, Winnipeg and Victoria to mark this anniversary. Get directly
involved in the national and international movement against Israeli
apartheid. Be part of the boycott campaign against Israeli Apartheid, by
joining and helping with the CAIA picket of Chapter Indigo stores. Educate
the public about the HESEG Foundation for Lone Soldiers (individuals from
outside Israel who want to serve in its military) and the role of the owners
of Indigo Books and Music.
