The demonstration below is organized by the family of Quilem Registre, with
the support of the Collective Opposed to Police Brutality (COBP). Quilem
died in October 2007 after a brutal arrest by the Montreal police, which
included being shocked by a Taser gun six times. We strongly encourage you
to attend this demonstration.

Le 18 Octobre 2007, Quilem Registre a succombé à ses blessures subies suite
à une arrestatation brutalisée des policiers. Ayant subi un mimimum de 6
décharges du Taser Gun, en plus de la brutalité excessive exercée par ces
mêmes policiers, son décès a été constaté quelques jours après son
arrestation.

Pouvons-nous continuer à subir ce genre d'abus de ces policiers? Que
pouvons-nous faire contre cela? Venez marcher avec nous samedi le 15
décembre 2007 à compter de 11h! Dans le but de dénoncer cet abus et
plusieurs autres gardés sous silence!

Le lieu de rencontre se fera au coin de St-Michel et d'Hérelle et nous
marcherons jusqu'à la 23e Avenue et Jean-Rivard (lieu de l'arrestation de
Quilem). Nous allons nous faire entendre!!!  Luttons ensemble dans la paix
contre l'abus des policiers au nom des toutes les victimes! Ca suffit!

This past October 18, 2007, Quilem Registre died as a result of injuries
suffered after a brutal arrest by police. Subjected to at least 6 Taser Gun
shots, as well as the excessive brutality used by the police, Quilem died
several days after his arrest.

Should we continue to submit to this kind of abuse by the police? What can
we do against this? Come march with us this Saturday, December 15, 2007 from
11am. The goal is to denounce these abuses and others that are kept silent.

The meeting point of the demo will be at the corner of St-Michel and
d'Hérelle, and we will march to 23e Avenue and Jean-Rivard (where Quilem was
arrested). We will be heard! Let's struggle together in peace against police
abuses in the name of all victims! Enough!
