Tadamon! Montreal

Oppose the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership'!
http://tadamon.resist.ca/index.php/post/812/

Tadamon! Montreal is appealing to you to spread the word, support & get
involved in the upcoming popular mobilization against the 'Security and
Prosperity Partnership' (SPP) summit in Montebello, Quebec at which U.S.
President George Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper & Mexican
President Felipe Calderon will be meeting between August 19th & 21st.

The 'Security and Prosperity Partnership' (SPP) is a political initiative that
will further an agenda of neo-liberal economic 'free trade' and 'national
security' as defined by state power in North America, building toward 'Fortress
North America'. Grassroots initiatives to confront & oppose the upcoming summit
surrounding the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership' in Montreal & throughout
Canada are outlined below.

Tadamon! Montreal is supporting the upcoming mobilization to confront & oppose
the SPP summit in Montebello, Quebec because the neo-liberal corporate economic
logic fueling the SPP agenda is also being forced on the people of the Middle
East.

The national 'leaders' who will be participating in the SPP summit, U.S.
President George Bush, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper & Mexican
President Felipe Calderon are adamant supporters of the racist 'War on Terror'
that has wrought destitution, destruction & deaths on the people of Lebanon,
Palestine, Iraq & the entire Middle East region.

Oppose the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership'!

In Solidarity,
Tadamon! Montreal

transportation, upcoming consulta, community assemblies, brigades festives and
more ...

Mobilize and Protest against George Bush, Stephen Harper and Felipe Calderon at
the meeting of the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP)

AUGUST 19-21, 2007
MONTEBELLO, QUEBEC
(Between Ottawa and Montreal)

In brief, the "Security and Prosperity Partnership" (SPP) combines the
destructive neo-liberal policies of the North American Free Trade Agreement
(NAFTA) with the fear and paranoia of post 9-11 "Homeland Security" policies.
The SPP is firmly rooted within a colonial and capitalist framework.
