 In the past year the Mexican political landscape, especially in the state
of Oaxaca, has seen the rise of  movements and campaigns that reject the
rule of the political elite and seek instead to build from below a more just
and democratic society. These movements have faced harsh government
repression, yet their struggles continue. This panel will hear from people
who have participated in, observed, and worked in solidarity with these
movements.
