SECURITY CERTIFICATES ON TRIAL
WEEK OF ACTIVITIES AROUND SUPREME COURT HEARINGS (OTTAWA)

Even as three "security certificate" detainees are on hunger-strike in
Kingston's "Guantanamo North" (the new prison built for refugees held
without charge), and a fourth (Harkat) has his chance for release on bail
challenged by the government on Friday, the Supreme Court will be hearing a
challenge to the constitutionality of security certificates. A week of
popular action in OTTAWA begins on Saturday, 10 June.

It is more important than ever to stand together for dignity, justice and
the rights of all in the panic following the arrests in Toronto last
weekend.

Tandis que trois « détenus sous certificats de sécurité » sont en grève
de la faim au « Guantanamo Nord » de Kingston (une nouvelle prison bâtie
spécialement pour les réfugiés détenus sans accusation) et que le
gouvernement est en appel de libération conditionnelle d'un quatrième
d'en eux (Harkat) cette vendredi, la Cour Suprême entendra sous peu une
contestation de la
constitutionnalité des certificats de sécurité. Une semaine d'action
populaire à OTTAWA débutera samedi le 10 juin.

Du 13 au 15 juin: le « Camp Espoir », trois jours de présence populaire
devant la Cour Suprême, de 9h à 17h
