COORDINATED MONTREAL RESPONSE TO ISRAELI AGGRESSION
Montreal Plan of Action (17 to 22 July 2006)

Montreal-based organisations and individuals have come together to
coordinate our responses to calls for solidarity from our brothers and
sisters in Lebanon and Gaza, currently living under a vicious military
offensive by Israel which has killed hundreds and destroyed civilian
infrastructure, with devastating consequences.

While the Canadian government is, outrageously, supporting Israel's war
crimes, members of the Lebanese and Palestinian diaspora in Montreal and
those who stand in solidarity with them are taking the following actions
in support of the people of Gaza and Lebanon.

1. PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION against the Aggression against Lebanon

Starting after the PAJU vigil, continuing until the rally the following

6. RELIEF EFFORT FUND-RAISING
As increasing numbers are displaced and wounded and civilian
infrastructure is destroyed, there will be a huge need for well-directed
funds to provide basic survival to people in Lebanon and Gaza. A crisis
working group, Relief Center - Spears, has formed in Beirut to support
refugees coming into the city: http://tadamon.resist.ca/index.php/?p=50.
We will be fund-raising to help with the relief effort and possibly others
(to be confirmed).

7. CALL-IN DAYS and FLYERS
To let the government know that many people are outraged by their support
for Israeli war crimes, one or more call-in days will be organised. In
addition, flyers will be distributed at all events, urging people to call
in to PM Stephan Harper and Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay.

RÉPONSE COORDONNÉE CONTRE L'AGRESSION ISRAÉLIENNE
Plan d'Action de Montréal (17 au 22 juillet 2006)

Plusieurs organisations et individus basés à Montréal se sont concertés
afin de coordonner une réponse aux appels de solidarité de nos frères et
soeurs au Liban et à Gaza, qui subissent présentement une offensive
militaire féroce par Israël qui a provoqué la mort de centaines et détruit
les infrastructures civiles, déclenchant des conséquences désastreuses.

Alors que le gouvernement canadien supporte outrageusement les crimes de
guerre d'Israël, les membres de la diaspora libanaise et palestinienne à
Montréal et ceux et celles qui les appuient entreprendront les actions
suivantes afin de soutenir les peuples de Gaza et du Liban.

6. CAMPAGNE DE FINANCEMENT DE L'EFFORT HUMANITAIRE
Alors que de plus en plus de gens sont déplacés, blessés, que
l'infrastructure civile est détruite, il y aura un énorme besoin de
financement correctement ciblé afin d'assurer la survie de base des gens
au Liban et à Gaza. Un groupe de travail de crise, Centre Humanitaire
Spears, s'est formé à Beyrouth afin de soutenir les réfugié-e-s qui
arrivent dans la ville : http://tadamon.resist.ca/index.php/?p=50.
Nous mèneront une campagne financement afin d'aider cet effort humanitaire
et possiblement d'autres (à confirmer).

7. JOURNÉE D'APPELS et de TRACTS
Afin de faire savoir au gouvernement que de nombreuses personnes sont
choquées de son appui au crimes de guerre israéliens, au moins une journée
d'appels sera organisée. De plus, des tracts seront distribués à tous les
événements, urgeant les gens d'appeler Stephen Harper et le Ministre des
Affaires Étrangères Peter MacKay.
