So I have a lot of things to say that I'd like to distill into one email.
Number one:
I went down to the show tonight, it wasn't my show, it was one of darryl's
first bottomline shows, and i think anju was initially gonna be involved
before she quite but then she wasn't. So it went really smoothly and was
medium sized except ppl were drinking outside, but also they were from
slovakia and maybe didn't know the rules, but i definitely acted as
security getting people to move off the sidewalk and not drink. Maybe
something we need to reiterate that there needs to be a security person.
Also, the money shit got really fucked up. I don't know how or where, there
was a mixup between trading out money or maybe just between how much bar
made, but it wasn't clear that jill counted float for bar and darryl
counted float for door. I think door was more straight forward but also
with them spending money on beer i think they just kind of assumed all
expenses were pooled together. In any was I walked in and was like no, door
works this way, beer works this way, etc. And Jill immediately felt bad and
said she would pay out the difference from her own pocket, which is crazy,
because she didn't do anything wrong. I think we need a better training and
clear document that separates how to break down money for bar, door, and
counting floats. So in total with the mish mash we made 230 total from the
show, combining bar and door, and then minus 140$ that darkly spent on bar.
So we only made 90. That said we have a shit ton of beers and ciders left
so its hard to say. Also we are out of envelopes so I jus through the 90$
under the bar change thing. So its in the bar money bank thing.

So in short, I don't want to shame any of the people who volunteered
tonight. We need to make a clearer breakdown of how to do bar and door and
how to end things by adding two totals. They both didn't realize that was
an end of the night thing. but they also both did a ton of work. No problem
they both did amazing jobs.

Also, we need new members, right now. WE need more ppl doing work. Cheryl
mentioned to me tonight that she has always really wanted to be involved in
the black lab. She is a staple in the punk scene and with legs and trendy b
gone we need a pop punk person. I really really highly want to suggest that
we consider her as a collective member. Pls think about it. I love you all
but we need help. Sorry if this email is sloppy and drunk but thats how I
am right now. Love you all.
