[Blacklabcollective] Stepping Down

I got a couple responses and I think my sentence "there are other reasons"
is too vague, I'll just explain it because I want you all to know its 100%
not anything to do with anything any of you did/didn't do.
- I am finding punk "politics" too simplistic and very good guy/bad guy
- punk/metal/grindcore as sub-cultures are making me feel stuck in a way of
thinking, I feel like I'm not growing and feel stunted
- I am having complicated feelings about the more extreme politics like the
kid getting called a nazi or the antifa posters and the general ganging up
on people
- Its burning me out that my friends get called "sketchy"/cop
lovers/shitty/etc... I have a diverse range of friends and they don't all
share ideas or share politics. I find that being part of black lab I am
questioned more and more about my friendship choices. I'd prefer to decide
who I associate with rather than trying to explain why I like people or
choose to be their friends
- race stuff is really overlooked and I'm tired of explaining it (hence why
I'm focusing on my volunteer work outside of punk)
- I get my feelings hurt when the space is not supported better, I can't
seem to separate myself from the black lab, it's too personal a project.
Some distance is good for me.
If anything, everything the collective members do is what kept me doing
black lab stuff.
