Ok so further to the email i sent re: that shitty situation that went down,
both Lindsay and Kim have suggested that we have a document that we can
easily forward to people outside the collective who are promoting shows at
black lab. I think this is a great idea and an easy solution to ensure that
there is clear communication around what our policies are and how the space
operates.

What I've done is I've edited the Venue Policy document so that it's a bit
shorter and so that it doesn't contain anything that would be irrelevant to
anyone who is just promoting a show-- basically it just has the "running a
show" section, the safer spaces policy, etc, and I've changed a lil bit of
the language just so that it doesn't have anything that wouldn't apply to
ppl who aren't in the collective.

It is in our google drive titled "Venue Policy for External Promoters". I
will see if I can somehow upload it so it is accessible on facebook for us
to easily send to ppl but maybe not be totally visible for everyone who
"likes" our page.

In doing this, I also realized that half y'all didn't even have access to
these documents! So I've added Tara, Mick, Austin, and Quinn and shared
those files with youse so that you can access them. let me know if you have
issues and I will try to figure out what the deal is.

SOooooOOooo my suggestion (which I can bring up at the meeting) is to
forward that document to anyone who wants to put a show on at black lab. im
pretty sure it's fairly thorough and this should reduce / eliminate
miscommunications around our operating styles for people. hopefully.
